Some things are seasonal, others arent and an itchy male organ is a pest for all seasons. That said, there is definitely some seasonal variation in the cause of an itchy male organ. There are factors associated with winter that can make a difference in male organ health and the itch that all men experience at some point.

Many causes

As is well known, an itchy male organ can be the result of many things, including jock itch, allergic reaction, scabies and other readily-identifiable causes. But often the itch simply results from a temporary irritant or environmental conditions that cause the skin to dry or become otherwise itch-prone.

The latter is often more frequently at work in winter than it is at other times of the year. To understand why, its necessary to look at the situations which cause dry, itchy skin in general during the winter.

Winter

Whats the defining characteristic of winter? Cold weather (although what constitutes cold weather on a tropical island is very different than what constitutes the same in northern Alaska). And when the temperature drops, conditions change both indoors and outdoors such that dry, itchy skin may develop.

Outside

Outside, cold weather is often accompanied by harsh winter winds. Exposed skin takes the brunt of it, but truly arctic blasts can cut through clothing and affect skin all over the body. When that wind strikes, it creates a windburn situation that dries out the much-needed natural moisturizing skin oils.

But theres another effect as well. People have to bundle up to withstand the frigid air. But often the outside wind chill shifts dramatically, so a man may experience periods of both extreme cold and not-so-extreme cold. And in the latter phases, being bundled up may make the body overheat, creating sweat. And often sweat serves to also deplete the bodys natural moisturizing oils.

Inside

Ah, but indoors, things are nice and cozy and climate-controlled, right? Not necessarily. Indoor heat often creates a dry, low-humidity situation and that sucks the moisture right out of the skin as well.

These winter factors which bring about dry, itchy skin in general can also bring about an itch specifically on the member.

What to do

So what can a man do to keep an itchy male organ at bay in winter?

Hydration is the key here. Dry skin is an invitation to the itch factor, so find ways to keep the body moisturized. For overall body skin hydration, it makes sense to go with the obvious: drink plenty of water. If moisture is being pulled out of the body, put some of it back in. Too many adults do not get enough fluids anyway and some of what they consider fluids arent helpful hydrators. Caffeinated drinks (coffee, tea, soda), for example, tend to have a somewhat de-hydrating effect.

It also pays to remember that liquids arent the only recourse for hydration. Increasing the consumption of many fruits and some vegetables is another good way to add water to the body.

And as for the itchy male organ itself? What winter tips can be offered for it specifically? It can be very helpful to make application of a top drawer manhood health crme (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin) a part of a mans daily health routine. Helping manhood skin get rehydrated can relieve the itch, so a crme needs to have double-barreled moisturizing agents such as Shea butter and vitamin E. Working together, these two create a moisture seal that helps rehydrate and lock in that hydration. It also pays to use a creme with a potent antioxidant, such as alpha lipoic acid, which can add a back-up weapon to protect male organ cells and keep them healthy rather than itchy.

Embroidery, all around the globe is considered as a piece of heritage. This heritage has been with us for many centuries. Embroidery as an art form is so aged that none of us could pin point the accuracy of its ancientness. Since the time of our mothers, grandmothers and their ancestors have followed this art, despite the world being poles apart.

Where we reside doesn’t make a difference we all have been introduced to embroidery as cross stitch embroidery. That’s because it’s so easy to learn. It requires the most common of obtainable supplies. Therefore how much ever I go gaga over celtic cross stitch it will be little because I love its patterns.

Cross stitch is not without its impressions of varied civilizations and regions and tribes. Patterns of cross stitch are a great mixture of some primitive, ethnic, modern as well as contemporary variations. While some regional patterns are evident other too have their impressions. Like Victorian cross stitch is revered for its classic designs, African stitch is applauded for their ethnicity and Celtic for their intricacy.

COMMON PATTERNS IN CELTIC EMBROIDERY

Celtic embroidery is an ancient form of embroidery. Its archetypal patterns are well known, also the diversity of its patterns are something that we can take pride in. Since Celts were predominantly nomads therefore the impressions of their art knew no boundaries. These patterns could be seen on probably every possession of theirs.

On their possessions the motifs and design work had minute details that some work could well be a masterpiece in our contemporary life. Cross stitch patterns used by Celts had impressions of their daily lifestyles. Patterns like geometrical shapes, mythological creatures, flowers, alphabets and more. They didn’t just stop with creating patterns with embroideries, actually they were so found of these patterns that even their swords, utensils walls and bodies would engraved with such patterns.

WHERE TO FIND CELTIC CROSS STITCH PATTERNS?

All of you would by now be asking on the ways to get these gorgeous and unique patterns. 25 odd years ago I wouldn’t have been in a position to answer any of this. But today I am fortunate enough to have enough knowledge about this art to be able to share it with you.

Simply visit your nearest store or art and craft vendor to get yourself that really nice Celtic cross stitch design kit. If you fail in your effort to locate a crafts store nearby, then you might find one at a bookshop. And just incase you do not want to do away with the comfort of your house for this purpose I can help you here too.

You can easily place an online order requesting your kit. While if you wouldn’t like to spend a dime on the pattern, try locating free patterns on the Internet. There are plenty of sites that offer these patterns for free. Make your selections depending upon your skill level. I sincerely hope that I have left no stone unturned that you do not take up Celtic cross stitch embroidery. I hope I do not have to push you further.

The New Zealand Police has reported that a three-year-old boy choked to death on Saturday afternoon, due to what they believe was a piece of candy at his birthday party.

The parents did call New Zealand’s emergency number, 1-1-1, after their son alerted his parents to the fact that he was choking. The paramedics were unable to revive the Napier boy when they arrived at the scene.

The case has been referred to a coroner.

A couple living in New York City have decided to take a taxi all the way to Arizona. Betty and Bob Matas are retiring and leaving the city for good. What started as joke, has become reality, in part to spare their cats from traveling in a jetliner cargo-hold. They have negotiated a US$3,000 flat fee instead of the metered rate, which was estimated at US$5,000.

A vocational nurse working for Dr. John Capriotti, a plastic surgeon, was accused of setting the fire that wounded several and killed three people in Houston, Texas on March 28. She was allegedly trying to cover up the fact that she hadn’t completed the paperwork for an upcoming audit.

The fire began in Dr. Capriotti’s office on the fifth floor and quickly spread to the sixth. Arson investigators from the Houston Fire Department, the FBI and the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives had been working to determine the source of the fire.

Iran announced that it has started industrial scale production of nuclear fuel involving hundreds of centrifuges. The announcement comes as President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad reasserts his nation’s nuclear rights in the face of two rounds of sanctions by the UN Security Council, which is seeking a halt to such work.

The United States denounced the declaration, saying it showed Iran was defying the international community.

“Junk” foods may affect aggressive behaviour and school performance
June 11, 2018 · Uncategorized · (No comments)

Tuesday, October 4, 2005

Dr. Stephen Schoenthaler, a Professor of Criminal Justice at the California State University in Stanislaus, has long argued that there is a link between a healthy diet and decreased aggressive behaviour, as well as with increased IQ and school performance.

Dr. Schoenthaler is well-known for a youth detention center study where violations of house rules fell by 37% when vending machines were removed and the cafeteria replaced canned food by fresh alternatives. He summarizes his findings by saying that “Having a bad diet right now is a better predictor of future violence than past violent behaviour.” In a very large test, Schoenthaler directed a study in meals at 803 New York City schools, in low-income neighbourhoods, finding that the number of students passing final exams increased by 16%.

Critics have questioned some of Dr. Schoenthaler findings, due to the lack of placebo control groups. However, more recent work by Dr. Bernard Gesch, a physiologist at the University of Oxford, has placed some of the work on a more scientific footing. Dr. Gesch found that nutrition supplements produced a 26% drop in violations of prison rules over a placebo, and a 37% decrease in violent offences. The Netherlands has embarked on a wider scale dietary research program in 14 prisons.

The short term behaviour consequences of ingesting sugar are well understood: an initial burst on energy, followed a sugar low in which your body produces adrenalin, which makes you irritable and explosive. However, Schoenthaler and Gesch suggest that there are long term impacts over and above the short term consequences of blood sugar variations.

HP are extremely busy working away at their enterprise customer base with their philosophy that one-vendor will fit all, known as Converged Infrastructure . Traditionally, it has been a brave customer who has preferred to go down the one-vendor approach when it comes to satisfying demand for infrastructure hardware. Adopting a multi-vendor approach is seen as a hedge against hardware glitches, but more immediately as a bargaining chip when it comes to pricing solutions.

HP have a great deal of client inertia to overcome, with many customers fearing they will be locked in to the HP solution if they follow the tempting pricing and performance offers. HP counter this concern by claiming they are offering an open architecture solution, but if that is the case why bother trying to tout converged infrastructure in the first instance if is open architecture in the first instance, the HP solution will naturally rise to the surface on merit?

Err. Probably not!

IT solutions are like life insurance they are not bought, they are sold.

This said, running a 100% HP infrastructure will open up a toolset which HP provides which allows for lower CO and TCO (HP networking solutions typically cost 50% or less of major competing solutions). Integrating a hybrid HP and A.N.Other hardware solution leads to degraded network performance because of the limitations of the HP toolset in such infrastructure environments.

There is a clear trade-off at work better performance, lower costs versus undiversified infrastructure base and future lock-in to one vendor (HP).

HP has recently announced its third generation, Matrix blade server management solution which includes server automation and the ability to deploy infrastructure applications, manage performance and security better than before. This all sounds like a great deal and it is, so from an IT decision maker s perspective, what s not to like?

The straight answer is there is nothing you don t need to like, but there is a major competing IT infrastructure strategy which demands you continue with a multi-vendor approach Cloud Computing. Cloud computing is still viewed as having some way to go before it is ready for wholesale adoption, especially by small and midcap businesses, but then again maybe not!

Another obstacle to HP s convergent infrastructure is the amount of legacy hardware floating around. Even where you visit a client who favors one particular manufacturer, it is hard not to find Dell or IBM hardware gathering dust but still showing not the least sign of wanting to quit. Swapping out old, but still functioning hardware is something many IT managers simply don t want to do if it isn t broken, I m not going to fix it and in any event, it s hard for them to see how they can get a better ROI on a piece of new kit, when the existing box had its hard cost sunk years ago.

Probably the biggest obstacle to a single vendor approach is business risk. No-one ever got fired for buying IBM , but then again no-one has ever been fired for diversifying their employer s business risk and achieving a satisfactory ROI. Placing all of a company s infrastructure needs into one vendor s basket is inherently a risky approach, and unless HP truly unlock the infrastructure architecture and ensure 100% open structure, it is probably going to be devilishly expensive to reverse out of that strategy if a customer wants to down the road.

As increase in digital music sales slows, record labels look to new ways to make money
June 10, 2018 · Uncategorized · (No comments)

Tuesday, August 31, 2010

Every September, the Apple iPod is redesigned. Last year saw the release of the iPod Nano 5th generation, bringing a video camera and a large range of colours to the Nano for the first time. But as Apple again prepares to unveil a redesigned product, the company has released their quarterly sales figures—and revealed that they have sold only 9m iPods for the quarter to June—the lowest number of sales since 2006, leading industry anylists to ponder whether the world’s most successful music device is in decline.

Such a drop in sales is not a problem for Apple, since the iPhone 4 and the iPad are selling in high numbers. But the number of people buying digital music players are concerning the music industry. Charles Arthur, technology editor of The Guardian, wrote that the decline in sales of MP3 players was a “problem” for record companies, saying that “digital music sales are only growing as fast as those of Apple’s devices – and as the stand-alone digital music player starts to die off, people may lose interest in buying songs from digital stores. The music industry had looked to the iPod to drive people to buy music in download form, whether from Apple’s iTunes music store, eMusic, Napster or from newer competitors such as Amazon.”

Mark Mulligan, a music and digital media analyst at Forrester Research, said in an interview that “at a time where we’re asking if digital is a replacement for the CD, as the CD was for vinyl, we should be starting to see a hockey-stick growth in download sales. Instead, we’re seeing a curve resembling that of a niche technology.” Alex Jacob, a spokesperson for the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, which represents the worldwide music industry, agreed that there had been a fall in digital sales of music. “The digital download market is still growing,” they said. “But the percentage is less than a few years ago, though it’s now coming from a higher base.” Figures released earlier this year, Arthur wrote, “show that while CD sales fell by 12.7%, losing $1.6bn (£1bn)in value, digital downloads only grew by 9.2%, gaining less than $400m in value.”

Expectations that CDs would, in time, become extinct, replaced by digital downloads, have not come to light, Jacob confirmed. “Across the board, in terms of growth, digital isn’t making up for the fall in CD sales, though it is in certain countries, including the UK,” he said. Anylising the situation, Arthur suggested that “as iPod sales slow, digital music sales, which have been yoked to the device, are likely to slow too. The iPod has been the key driver: the IFPI’s figures show no appreciable digital download sales until 2004, the year Apple launched its iTunes music store internationally (it launched it in the US in April 2003). Since then, international digital music sales have climbed steadily, exactly in line with the total sales of iPods and iPhones.”

Nick Farrell, a TechEYE journalist, stated that the reason for the decline in music sales could be attributed to record companies’ continued reliance on Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, saying that they had considered him the “industry’s saviour”, and by having this mindset had forgotten “that the iPod is only for those who want their music on the run. What they should have been doing is working out how to get high quality music onto other formats, perhaps even HiFi before the iPlod fad died out.”

Have you found that you are spending less on music and more on apps, e-books, or television shows?
Add or view comments

When Jobs negotiated a deal with record labels to ensure every track was sold for 99 cents, they considered this unimportant—the iPod was not a major source of revenue for the company. However, near the end of 2004, there was a boom in sales of the iPod, and the iTunes store suddenly began raking in more and more money. The record companies were irritated, now wanting to charge different amounts for old and new songs, and popular and less popular songs. “But there was no alternative outlet with which to threaten Apple, which gained an effective monopoly over the digital music player market, achieving a share of more than 70%” wrote Arthur. Some did attempt to challenge the iTunes store, but still none have succeeded. “Apple is now the largest single retailer of music in the US by volume, with a 25% share.”

The iTunes store now sells television shows and films, and the company has recently launced iBooks, a new e-book store. The App Store is hugely successful, with Apple earning $410m in two years soley from Apps, sales of which they get 30%. In two years, 5bn apps have been downloaded—while in seven years, 10bn songs have been purchased. Mulligan thinks that there is a reason for this—the quality of apps simply does not match up to a piece of music. “You can download a song from iTunes to your iPhone or iPad, but at the moment music in that form doesn’t play to the strengths of the device. Just playing a track isn’t enough.”

Adam Liversage, a spokesperson of the British Phonographic Industry, which represents the major UK record labels, notes that the rise of streaming services such as Spotify may be a culprit in the fall in music sales. Revenues from such companies added up to $800m in 2009. Arthur feels that “again, it doesn’t make up for the fall in CD sales, but increasingly it looks like nothing ever will; that the record business’s richest years are behind it. Yet there are still rays of hope. If Apple – and every other mobile phone maker – are moving to an app-based economy, where you pay to download games or timetables, why shouldn’t recording artists do the same?”

Well, apparently they are. British singer Peter Gabriel has released a ‘Full Moon Club’ app, which is updated every month with a new song. Arthur also notes that “the Canadian rock band Rush has an app, and the industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails, led by Trent Reznor – who has been critical of the music industry for bureaucracy and inertia – released the band’s first app in April 2009.” It is thought that such a system will be an effective method to reduce online piracy—”apps tend to be tied to a particular handset or buyer, making them more difficult to pirate than a CD”, he says—and in the music industry, piracy is a very big problem. In 2008, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry estimated that 95% of downloads were illegitimate. If musicians can increase sales and decrease piracy, Robert says, it can only be a good thing.

“It’s early days for apps in the music business, but we are seeing labels and artists experimenting with it,” Jacob said. “You could see that apps could have a premium offering, or behind-the-scenes footage, or special offers on tickets. But I think it’s a bit premature to predict the death of the album.” Robert concluded by saying that it could be “premature to predict the death of the iPod just yet too – but it’s unlikely that even Steve Jobs will be able to produce anything that will revive it. And that means that little more than five years after the music industry thought it had found a saviour in the little device, it is having to look around again for a new stepping stone to growth – if, that is, one exists.”

Face-off at Islamabad Mosque

Face-off at Islamabad Mosque

Sunday, July 8, 2007

Since last Tuesday, following violent confrontations with Pakistan’s army, up to 1800 clerics and students are still holed up in Islamabad’s Red Mosque. Clashes began last week following mounting antagonism between the mosques hard-line leaders and the government lead by President Pervez Musharraf.

The mosque has been accused of enforcing its own Islamic law in the capital, notably the illegal detention of Chinese foreign nationals working in massage parlors.

20 people have been reported killed over the past six days, which have seen multiple gun battles and demolition of the mosques exterior walls. Currently, there seems little chance of a negotiated resolution. A delegation of Islamic leaders were refused access, and the mosques leader Abdul Rashid Ghazi has declared suicide a favourable option to surrender.

The mosques leaders follow the Hanafi school of thought, believing that the Koran is the authority by which justice should be metered. Historically the mosque has had close links with the Pakistan leadership, and members of the current administration have resisted calls for a crackdown on the mosques provocative behaviour.

The stand-off represents a decisive ideological challenge to the president who is walking a fine-line between Islamic extremists at home and foreign pressure to crack-down on militancy in the lawless tribal regions.

Saturday, October 1, 2005

New Zealand has relaxed the safety rules imposed on internal airlines in 2002, once more allowing passengers to carry pocket knives with blades less than 60mm long and knitting needles.

Other larger items remain banned, including ice-skates, pool cues, hockey sticks, skateboards, cricket bats and harpoons.

Other countries more at risk from terrorism such as the United States of America and Australia will maintain their stricter rules and continue to ban a range of small, sharp objects from their internal flights.

The airlines have also agreed to help return items seized from passengers before boarding.

The Various Ways Bankruptcy Courts Work

by

Carlton Mansour

Struggling with a difficult debt situation can be overly challenging and stressful. In most cases, people are too confused to find an efficient way out of the problem. Moreover, it is unlikely for laypersons to know the various legal options that might be available to them. An experienced and qualified legal advisor can provide adequate information on the debt solutions that can be availed by you in order to clear your debt burdens.

Bankruptcy is one of the most well-known debt solutions that can help you effectively in overcoming severe financial difficulties. However, most people tend to avoid opting for bankruptcy to deal with financial crises due to the various contradictions related to bankruptcy. While one group of people claims that bankruptcy can be one of the most convenient and advantageous options for coping with debt problems, the other group maintains that bankruptcy can only ruin your financial records thoroughly and make an already difficult situation even worse. However, detailed knowledge about all the pros and cons of bankruptcy can help individuals and organizations decide for certain if bankruptcy can actually be helpful or harmful in their financial circumstances.

In order to understand the true impacts of bankruptcy on the lives of people, it is important to know how the Peterborough County Court works and the various rules they follow. Let us discuss the various ways bankruptcy courts can help you during debt crises.

The biggest advantage of bankruptcy filing is that it relieves you completely of creditor harassments. With bankruptcy filing, the court makes it a compulsory rule for creditors to stop all kinds of contacts with you, thereby providing you complete protection against the disturbances and botherations caused by the lenders. This brings down your stress levels considerably.

It is a common belief that being bankrupt implies that your credit records would be permanently damaged. While it is true that your credit records are undoubtedly affected due to bankruptcy filing, it is also true that you are enabled with an opportunity to start your credit records afresh. With bankruptcy filing, your credit cards and bank accounts are closed by the court, thereby allowing you to make a new financial beginning. The chance to start anew can be extremely helpful in most cases and can efficiently relieve you of the immense stress related to a debt situation.

It is not necessarily true that bankruptcy filing would take away all your valuable assets. Filing for the right type of bankruptcy would allow you to keep most of your valuable properties even after being declared bankrupt. The various assets that you are mostly allowed to retain are furniture, jewelry, clothing, household items, insurances, pension funds, vehicles that are not expensive etc.

If you face severe debt crises more than once in your life, you are not forbidden by the bankruptcy courts to file for bankruptcy. However, the rules and limitations can vary in different types of bankruptcies. For example, in chapter 13 bankruptcy you are allowed to submit petitions as frequently as you might require. But if you file for chapter 7 bankruptcy once, you are required to wait for a period of 8 years before you can submit a petition again.

Clear Money Solutions is a reputed debt solution company providing reliable bankruptcy advice to their clients. If you are trying to file for bankruptcy in the

Looted, possibly contaminated body parts transplanted into USA, Canadian patients

Looted, possibly contaminated body parts transplanted into USA, Canadian patients
June 9, 2018 · Uncategorized · (No comments)

Monday, March 20, 2006

Fears of contaminated bone and skin grafts are being felt by unsuspecting patients following the revelation that funeral homes may have been looting corpses.

Janet Evans of Marion Ohio was told by her surgeon, “The bone grafts you got might have been contaminated”. She reacted with shock, “I was flabbergasted because I didn’t even know what he was talking about. I didn’t know I got a bone graft until I got this call. I just thought they put in screws and rods.”

The body of Alistair Cooke, the former host of “Masterpiece Theatre,” was supposedly looted along with more than 1,000 others, according to two law enforcement officials close to the case. The tissue taken was typically skin, bone and tendon, which was then sold for use in procedures such as dental implants and hip replacements. According to authorities, millions of dollars were made by selling the body parts to companies for use in operations done at hospitals and clinics in the United States and Canada.

A New Jersey company, Biomedical Tissue Services, has reportedly been taking body parts from funeral homes across Brooklyn, New York. According to ABC News, they set up rooms like a “surgical suite.” After they took the bones, they replaced them with PVC pipe. This was purportedly done by stealth, without approval of the deceased person or the next of kin. 1,077 bodies were involved, say prosecuters.

Investagators say a former dentist, Michael Mastromarino, is behind the operation. Biomedical was considered one of the “hottest procurement companies in the country,” raking in close to $5 million. Eventually, people became worried: “Can the donors be trusted?” A tissue processing company called LifeCell answered no, and issued a recall on all their tissue.

Cooke’s daughter, Susan Cooke Kittredge, said, “To know his bones were sold was one thing, but to see him standing truncated before me is another entirely.” Now thousands of people around the country are receiving letters warning that they should be tested for infectious diseases like HIV or hepatitis. On February 23, the Brooklyn District Attorney indicted Mastromarino and three others. They are charged with 122 felony counts, including forgery and bodysnatching.
